Giant sculptures gather people together. They become places of altered possibility where dream intelligence might restore ordinary interactions with natural magic. I make art to open passageways within us and between us. A playful space, a sculptural stage, an altered context might remind us that we are participants in an ongoing co-creative process where our vivid imaginings, longing hearts and unanswerable questions are welcomed and needed. 

We are made and remade by everything around us–by beings as tiny as micro-organisms and forces as vast as the elemental hands that sculpted the mountains. We, ourselves, are organic artwork. I’m devoted to art-making as a process which reflects our artistic nature back to us and dares us to recognize, again,  our natural role as co-creators.
